What is 1080i vs 1080p?
1080p or 1080i is high definition video mode. The number 1080 in this notation refers to the number of pixels in each vertical line, and the letter i refers to interlaced or interlaced scanning in Turkish. Interlaced scanning is the opposite of progressive or progressive scanning in Turkish. 1080i is one of the high definition TV (High definition mode) video modes. This mode is generally used on widescreen 16:9 TVs.

What’s the Difference Between 1080i and 1080p?

The resolutions of devices defined as Full HD are 1920 x 1080 pixels. These devices are referred to as 1080i or 1080p. If you see one of these features on a device, it means it’s Full HD.
However, the image may freeze according to i, that is, interlaced P, that is, Progressive. In other words, in a match or a fast action movie, you may experience freezes in interlaced, but you will not experience condensation or freezing in the movements during more fluid and fast transitions in Progressive.
Although both are the same in terms of resolution, the P one is better in terms of speed. In addition to i and p, it shows the fps, that is, the frame rate in values such as 30 or 60 next to them. 60 fps is the best. For example: it is recommended to select a value such as 1080p_60 if your device supports it.
1080p
