Find Wifi Password on Windows 10
Most people can forget the wifi password they first created. They can forget the wifi password they are currently connected to on their computers or phones. When you connect to any wifi network on our computers using Windows 10, the wifi password we use is stored somewhere. There are some ways to get to this wifi password. In this article, we will tell you how to find the wifi password you have connected to or are currently connected to.
Find the current connected wifi password
This method of learning password is for computers that are currently connected. See the next method to find out the wifi passwords you have connected with before.
- Click the Start menu and Settings icon.
- In the window that opens, click on Network & Internet.
- On the next screen, click “Status” on the left and then “Network and Sharing Center”.
- Click on “Wi-Fi (Your Name)” in the Connections section of the new screen.
- Click the “Wireless Properties” button on the Wi-Fi Status screen that opens. Switch to the “Security” tab on the next screen. Where it says “network security key”, it says the wifi password you are currently connected to. To see this password, simply tick the “Show characters” option.
Find previously registered Wi-Fi password
If you want to learn the wifi passwords that you have entered before but are not currently connected, you can follow the methods below.
- Open the Start menu on your computer and type “cmd”. Find “Command Prompt” in the results. Select “Run as administrator” from the options right next to it.
- Enter the following code in the “Command Prompt” window and then press the “ENTER” key:

- After entering the command, all the wifi names you have connected to before will be listed, as in the picture above. Replace the wifi profile in this list with the place where it says “Wifi-Name” in the script below, enter the command prompt and click the ENTER key.

As you can see in the picture above, the information written in front of “Key Content” is the wifi password.
