Using the Phone as a Microphone

You can use your phone as a microphone, whether between Mac and iPhone, or between PC and Android. By installing a few applications on our mobile phone and computer and after a few simple steps you will be able to use the Phone as a Microphone. We will use Wo Mic application for this process. First, you need to install an application on the phone and the computer so that you can establish a connection between the two devices.

Programs to install on computer

If your computer is Windows, you will install Client and Driver. If you are using a Mac, you will only have to install the Client Package.

Application to install on the phone

Install Wo Mic on your phone from the convenience store according to the phone you use below.

For Android : Wo Mic
For iPhone : Wo Mic

Connecting via Bluetooth

First pair your phone and PC with bluetooth.

1. Open Wo Mic App. Click the Wheel icon at the top.
2. Then select “Transport” as Bluetooth.
3. Then come back and press Play above.

4. Now open the “WO Mic Client” program that you installed on the computer.
5. Then click “Connect” from the “Connection” menu.

6. Here we select “Bluetooth” in the “Transport type” section.
7. We select our phone from the “Target Bluetooth device” section.
8. Finally, click on the “OK” button.

9. When the connection is successful, it says “Connected” at the bottom. Now you can record audio from your computer via phone.

Connecting with Wi-fi

First, your phone and computer must be connected to the same network. So it must be connected to the same modem.

1. Open Wo Mic App. Click the Wheel icon at the top.
2. Then select “Transport” as Wi-fi.
3. Then come back and press Play above.
4. Here the ip address of your phone like 192.168.1.4 will be released. We will need to write it to the client program and make the connection with the phone.

5. Now open the “WO Mic Client” program that you installed on the computer.
6. Then click “Connect” from the “Connection” menu.

7. Here we select “Wi-Fi” in the “Transport type” section.
8. In the “Server IP address” section, we write the IP address of our phone.
9. Finally, click on the “OK” button.

10. When the connection is successful, it says “Connected” at the bottom. Now you can record audio from your computer via phone.

You can now output your voice from your phone to the computer. Good work.
